I have been holding my prices down as much as possible over the past year, but with increasing costs comes the inevitable — my prices are increasing. My main supplier stopped carrying the make and model of canvas which I have been using for the past year and a half, and Dave and I are scrambling to find a decent (similarly priced) competitor.
The other big change is the permanent adhesive I use to attach my floating prints. It has doubled in price, and is disappearing from one vender after another — a sign that it has been discontinued. It is being replaced with a “repositionable” adhesive, which isn’t the quality I desire for my work. I have 40 sheets left. If I get through that before finding a decent replacement, a price increase is the least of my worries.
Update: We found another supplier for Fredrix canvas! All is not lost!
